Green fees, profiles & pricing rules
Rate classes, twilight, 9 vs 18, and the optional Smart Pricing.
Profiles (rate classes)
Every golfer carries a profile — Public, Member, Senior, Student, whatever you define. The profile is the price: put a foursome of a member, two publics and a junior on one tee time and each seat prices itself correctly.
Pricing rules
Rules live in Settings → Pricing and answer "what does this slot cost for this profile?" A rule can target:
- a profile (or all of them),
- 9 or 18 holes, walking or riding,
- days of the week and a time window (that's how twilight works — leave the "to" time blank and twilight starts at your set hour and runs until close; the tee sheet marks every twilight time with a moon),
- a date range (seasonal rates).
When several rules match, the price is picked in two steps — and profiles are discounts, never surcharges:
- The best matching schedule rule wins first among rules for all players (twilight beats all-day, a holiday date range beats the generic weekday, 9-hole beats "any holes" — the most specific rule for that moment).
- If the golfer has a profile, their best profile rule is found the same way.
- They're charged whichever of the two is cheaper. A Student booking 9 holes gets your 9-hole rate when it's less than the student rate — never more than the walk-up price for the same round.
Wondering why a price came out the way it did? Settings → Pricing → Check a price dry-runs any date, time, holes, profile, and cart choice against your live rules and shows every rule that matched, with the winner flagged.
The tee sheet, online booking, the register, and rain-check math all resolve prices through the same rule engine — there is exactly one answer to "what does it cost."
Smart Pricing (optional, ships off)
Smart Pricing quietly discounts slow tee times to fill them. It is deliberately conservative:
- Discount-only — it can never raise a price above your rules.
- Floor-protected — you set the minimum; it will not go below it.
- Occupancy-gated — busy windows are left alone.
- Every reprice is logged, and the kill switch is one toggle.
Online golfers see the deal as a strikethrough price with a label like "Twilight saver."
